2024 – Hands Together, Main Street’s churchwide day of service, is back!  We typically have 70-80 workers performing service projects at nine organizations or church projects -> Ciener Garden, Next Step Ministries, at Books-A-Palooza and projects on our own campus.

2023 – Hands Together, Main Street’s churchwide day of service, is back!  We had 70-80 workers performing service projects at nine organizations or church projects -> Ciener Garden, Next Step Ministries, at Books-A-Palooza and projects on our own campus.

2019 – HANDS TOGETHER – Our 12th annual church wide day of service, will be on Sept. 14th.  About 100+ members typically visit various local non-profits for service related projects, including Next Step Ministries of Kernersville, as well as the Open House Community Center in Winston-Salem

2017 – HANDS TOGETHER – Our 10th annual church wide day of service, was on October 7th.  About 100+ members visited various local non-profits for service related projects, including Next Step Ministries of Kernersville, as well as the Open House Community Center in Winston-Salem

_______________2015 – HANDS TOGETHER – Our 8th annual church wide day of service, was today, September 12th. About 160+ members visited various local non-profits for service related projects, including Next Step Ministries of Kernersville, as well as Mt. Zion Community Center, Open House Community Center in Winston-Salem. The morning’s highlight was our pastor accepting a chocolate pie from the Sunday school classes with the most participation.

2014 HANDS TOGETHER – Our 7th Annual Hands Together Day, Sept. 13, 2014, at Main Street UMC was a great success. We had 200+ members of our congregation serving area non-profit ministries including: Bethany Café, Bethesda Center, UMC Children’s Home, Children Singing at Area Nursing Homes, Crisis Control, Kid’s Café, Next Step Ministries and Thrift Store, Open Door Ministries, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Samaritan Ministries, Shepherd’s Center, and Trustees Church Repairs and Improvement.

2013 HANDS TOGETHER – Our 6th Annual Hands Together Day, Sept. 21, 2013, at Main Street UMC was a great success. We had over 200 members of our congregation serving area non-profit ministries including: Bethany Café, Bethesda Center, Cemetery Clean Up, UMC Children’s Home, Children Singing at Area Nursing Homes, Community Garden, Crisis Control, Second Harvest, Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries, Homebound Visitation, …Kid’s Café, Next Step Ministries and Thrift Store, Open Door Ministries, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Samaritan Ministries, Shepherd’s Center, and Trustees Church Repairs and Improvement.

Also our Bethany Café served 158 meals at breakfast, 104 meals at lunch, 50 meals on wheels, and 48 meals to the prisoners at the Forsyth Prison on Cherry Street. Thanks to everyone who was able to participate
