The Never Forget Veterans Ministry of Main Street United Methodist Church recognizes our veterans throughout the year and honors them once a year with a free meal. Due to the pandemic, we are once again going to be offering a Drive-Thru Meal Pickup so that we can safely honor those who have served! This special Drive -Thru Meal Pickup will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12-12:45pm.
In order to make this a success, WE NEED YOU! We need volunteers to help chop the smoked pork shoulder (kindly donated by the Kernersville Lions Club), volunteers to pre-portion the meals into the to-go containers, volunteers to pass out the meals, and volunteers to line the parking lot from entrance to exit as a drive thru parade thanking the veterans for their service. This year we are excited to be partnering with the Kernersville Moravian Church Band who will be providing live music for the veterans as they pick up their meals.
